The Third Friday in September is International Grenache Day so this week we celebrate one of our favorite varietals. Believed to have originated in Spain, where it's known as Garnacha, this centuries-old grape has traveled the world, becoming one of the most widely planted varieties and a cornerstone of legendary wine regions from Priorat and Rioja to the Southern Rhône.
Discover just how versatile this remarkable grape can be with three distinct expressions: crisp Spanish Grenache Blanc, a lighter New World Grenache, and vibrant Grenache Rouge from France. From citrus and florals to wild berries and warming spice, you'll experience how one grape family can produce an incredible range of styles.
Wines include:
Loxeral Amaltea Garnacha Blanca from Penédes, Spain
Ver Sacrum Grenache from Valle de Uco, Mendoza, Argentina
3 wines - $15 // 1 wine - $6 // 3 ounce pours
