This month VinoTeca will lead a September Tasting Series dedicated to introducing European wines that are traditional to the featured country, yet obscure across the pond. The nation will change every week with a focus toward organic, small producers who hold true to the grapes their ancestors cultivated.
Our second featured wine land - France - has a history much like Italy, it started with the Greeks, but grew into a powerhouse of tradition as well as opulence. This country is the birthplace to America’s most popular varietals including Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Merlot, and Chardonnay.
This tasting will be dominated not by unique grapes, but by wines that we rarely see, the wines that usually stay where they are made.
