Grapes born in 2018 in the Northern Hemisphere are just beginning the process of becoming the wines they are destined to be. Harvest begins in late August and continues through the end of September. Wine then takes a couple of months to become what we drink. But in the Beaujolais region of France they release their first wines in November. Beaujolais Nouvous is made through the wine-making process called Carbonic Maceration - we will teach you all about it - the wine is a fresh, expressive version of the vintage.
Gamay is the varietal that Beaujolais cultivates and we will be showing different expressions of one of our favorite grapes.
